Humanities Research Feature: On the cutting edge of scholarship

Published by USC School of Dramatic Arts (2025)

This feature highlighted the breadth and depth of scholarly research happening within the USC School of Dramatic Arts, showing how faculty work at the intersection of performance, theory, and cultural inquiry. I interviewed school leadership and faculty members to capture a range of research projects — from Dean Emily Roxworthy’s work on theatrical portrayals of academia to studies of performance art, acting techniques, and cultural histories — and wove these strands into a narrative that illustrates how research and education reinforce one another. The piece demonstrates my ability to interpret and organize complex academic work into engaging content that communicates both intellectual rigor and institutional identity to a broader audience.
